Directions for Shock treatment
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
NB: All dosages are based on an average pool with a capacity of 50 000 litres. Adjust according to your pool size, regional variations and weather conditions.
Precautions: In the case of a Vinyl or Coloured lining, the HTH® product you choose to use should be added directly to the weir to prevent damage to the lining.
01 | Shock treat with 3 cups of HTH® Granular+ Mineralsoft Pool Chlorine or 1 sachet of any of the HTH® Shock treatments while carefully following the label instructions on the pack.
02 | If your pool is stabilised (a cyanuric acid level of 50ppm) add 250g HTH® Granular+ Mineralsoft Pool Chlorine every other evening or as often as required to maintain a chlorine residual level of 1 –3 ppm.
03 | Enter the water once the chlorine level is below 3ppm.

WHY SHOCK TREATMENT MIGHT BE REQUIRED
- Insufficient chlorine
- Adding chlorine at the wrong time of the day
- Bad weather conditions
- After a high bather load (e.g. pool parties)
